OREANDA-NEWS. Moldovan business people will leave for an economic mission to Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg on 14-20 September.

The mission will be organized by the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CCI) in cooperation with the Moldovan Export Promotion and Investment Attraction Organization with the support of the Economics and Trade Ministry.

CCI deputy chairman Vladimir Didilica has told MOLDPRES that the mission's goal is to inform businessmen from the three countries about Moldova's export potential, investment opportunities and the trade legislative framework.

The mission is mainly aimed at renewing economic exchanges between Moldova and Benelux by identifying new business opportunities and/or cooperation projects in order to promote Moldovan exports on the EU market, to attract investment, establish long-lasting cooperation relations and create joint ventures. The event is also a possibility for discussing specific ways of involving in EU-financed projects.

The mission's agenda includes Moldovan-Belgian, Moldova-Dutch and Moldovan-Luxembourgish business forums and bilateral meetings. The Moldovan delegation will also visit a string of enterprises in the three EU member states, Didilica specified.

According to the National Statistics Bureau, the Netherlands and Belgium were among Moldova's first 27 trade partners in terms of exports in the first half of 2009. On this period, Moldova exported goods worth 3 million dollars to the Nethrelands and 2.7 million dollars to Belgium, while exports to Luxembourg stood at 18,000 dollars.
