OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 August 2009 was announced, that the leading specialists of the fuel and energy sector of Turkmenistan underwent a one and a half month training at the head office and divisions of German "RWE Dea AG" company operating in Germany and the Czech Republic.

The program of training included visits to core enterprises, nuclear power plants of different generations, hydroelectric complex "Emsland", pumped storage plant "Kephenverk", offshore oil platforms and a refinery for treating and processing of oil extracted in the area of "Mittelplate" - the area of coastal and marine oil production of "RWE Dea AG" in the Northern Sea.

Turkmen specialists got acquainted with technological installations for power generation from waste of agricultural production, as well as facilities producing electricity and heat from renewable sources, using wind and solar energy.

Training was conducted in accordance with a memorandum on the long-term cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and RWE signed in April this year, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat. It should be recalled that in July this year there was also signed a production sharing agreement, in accordance with which the German company was granted a license to explore for oil and gas in the contract area - offshore block number 23 in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.
