OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 August 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) grew 0.4% on the year in January-July 2009 to 72.6 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), an official with Belarus’ Statistics Ministry told.

Industrial output in January-July decreased 3.9% on the year to 69.2 trillion rubles.

In 2008, Belarus’ GDP grew 10% on the year to 128.8 trillion Belarusian rubles. Industrial output amounted to 127.5 trillion rubles, up 10.8% on the year. Farm output increased 8.9% to 26.9 trillion rubles.
