OREANDA-NEWS. European bank for reconstruction and development (EBRD) and German development bank KfW may enter in to shareholders of Ukrainian Megabank. In EBRD no comments have been made. As the Kiev’s office of EBRD has informed on Monday, the details of entering of EBRD and KfW into Megabank’s shareholders will be made public on August 20th, reported the press-centre of Megabank.
 
In June 2009 EBRD’s Board of Directors has decided to invest into equity and provide a long-term loan to Megabank for the total amount of EUR 20 million. And in early August Megabank announced agreement with KfW about signing an agreement on additional financing from German government.
 
PLC "Megabank" (formerly - bank "Dobrodiy") was founded in 1990. The major shareholders as of July 1 were CJSC "М-Invest" (38,9981%) and OJSC "Stock company "Investa" (24,9761%). The major beneficiary is Victor Subbotin. As per NBU data, by April 1st by the size of total assets (3,029 billion UAH.) Megabank ranked 47th among 182 banks of the country.
