OREANDA-NEWS. On August 18, 2009 The Russian Bank for Development in cooperation with the Association of Russian Banks and the Altai Krai Administration held a seminar-meeting in Barnaul on the state-sponsored SME lending support program, reported the press-centre of RBD.

In her report Nadezhda Martynova, Deputy Chairman of RBD detailed on the state SME lending support program that has been already launched. According to her currently RBD selects the applications for the program. “Regional quotas for SME lending in the Altai Krai under the SME lending support program were requested from 5 banks. It proves high motivation of the regional financial institutions to be involved in the program” – she said. Alongside N. Martynova specified that the program implemented by RBD is designed not only to support small and mid-sized enterprises through a network of regional counter-party banks but also includes a number of generally new areas of business such as SME support through infrastructure organizations: leasing, factoring, micro-finance organizations and etc.

After the seminar N. Martynova held special consultations in the questions of participation in the state SME lending support program.

During the visit Deputy Chairman of RBD Nadezhda Martynova also held a working meeting with Governor of the Altai Krai Alexander Karlin; she told the head of the region in detail about the program’s mechanisms, volumes of funding and further prospects of RBD’s support to SMEs in the Altai Krai.
