OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2009. In view of the results of proactive monitoring, JSC “Uralelectromed” (an enterprise of the metallurgical complex of UMMC) has confirmed its Good Delivery Status of London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) for gold and silver ingots. In accordance with new requirements of LBMA, members of the association must confirm their status of recognized gold and silver bullions producers every three years, reported the press-centre of UMMC.

We should state that in the course of the proactive monitoring LBMA has evaluated working results of the laboratory of “Uralelectromed” as “excellent” ones. So, on the basis of the central laboratory “Uralelectromed” has tested six codified samples of gold with percentage from 99.5% till 99.95%. ‘An average discrepancy in test results obtained in-house and in LBMA Reference Laboratory made up only 0.001%’ – Sergei Mazgalin, the Head of the Central Laboratory of “Uralectromed”, reported.

Therefore, gold and silver bullions of “Uralelectromed” have proven Good Delivery Status for next three years, and, consequently, will freely circulate in the world market of affined precious metals.

Looking back let us recollect that JSC “Uralelectromed” received Good Delivery Status (approved provider to LBMA) for silver bullions in August of 2004. Two years later it got the same status for gold bullions. In both cases “Uralelectromed” became the first-world metal works included in the Good Delivery list of LBMA.

We note that in 2006 during the preparation for the award of gold Good Delivery Status the Central Laboratory of “Uralelectromed” achieved a new level of test rate. In particular, the enterprise applied a new method of gold assay for the gold bars based on application of assay-gravimetric method for direct parent metal test of gold bullions.
