OREANDA-NEWS. August 24, 2009. The Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat hosts the Turkmengurlusyk-2009 Exposition dedicated to the achievements and further development of one of the priority sectors of Turkmen economy. The organizers of the forum are the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Construction Material Industry of Turkmenistan, Turkmenawtoyollary State Concern and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

The exhibition opening ceremony brought together the cabinet ministers, high-ranking officials of Mejlis, sectoral ministries and departments, the heads of the diplomatic missions accredited to Ashgabat, the representatives of the public organisations – the members of the Galkynysh National Movement, numerous guests from all the regions of the country and journalists. The heads of the large companies from Germany, Russia, Austria, the Republic of Korea, China, Turkey, Lithuania, Kazakhstan and other countries of the world had arrived to the Turkmen capital to take part in the forum.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the welcoming statement to participants of the international exhibition. The Turkmen leader expressed confidence that this forum would become a worthy contribution to further intensification and concretization of the ways to develop and strengthen cooperation among Turkmen and foreign specialists, offer incentives to expand mutually beneficial exchange of advanced experiences among scientists and true masters in the craft of building.

Indeed, the vast opportunities for effective business partnership are provided in Turkmenistan. That is vividly proved by the exposition that present the versatile panorama of the changes taking place in the country that has taken the road of fundamental modernization and renovation. Implementing hundreds of the projects Turkmenistan has turned into a grandiose constriction site today. The list of newly-constructed buildings includes modern schools, kindergartens, comfortable apartment houses healthcare and cultural, sports facilities such as the Olympic village in Ashgabat and administrative buildings…

The National Programme on Improvement of the Social and Living Conditions in Villages, Settlements, Towns in Etraps and Etrap Centres for the period till 2020 aimed at creating modern highly-developed infrastructure in the regions opens up the vast opportunities for co-operation.

The focus of the exposition is Avaza national tourism zone – the world-class seaside resort that is taking the real shape with every passing day. This large-scale project initiated by the President of Turkmenistan vividly illustrates the innovatory, creative approach cooperation that has brought the positive results.

The building boom of the unprecedented scale sets the serious and important tasks to construction materials industry of Turkmenistan that has the firm raw material base. The pavilion of the Ministry of Construction Material Industry showcases the achievements and further prospects for development of the sector. The country increases production of nonmetallic materials, cement, glass, brick, asbestos-cement materials, large-panel structures. The metallurgical works put into operation recently in Ovadandepe exhibited is represented at the exposition. Its estimated capacity is 160,000 tons a year.

The private sector in increasingly involved in construction business. The construction sector is on the top list of the business interest of Turkmen entrepreneurs who more actively contributes to implementing the complex urban development programme throughout the country. That is proved by the contracts for construction of 15 apartment houses in the western part of the Turkmen capital and Abadan concluded with private enterprises Ak tam, Doganlar and Ajayip Bina.

The white-marble capital of Turkmenistan is in the vanguard of the unprecedented changes taking place throughout the country. The building premiers in Ashgabat are the ‘visit card’ of the main city and the man-made symbols of the new historical epoch. Paramount importance is attached to beautification and renovation of the architectural look of the Turkmen capital. Originality, aesthetic design and high quality, durability and solidity are the main demands made to contractors that is conditioned the adoption of know-how and advanced technologies.

Turkish TASYAPI demonstrated the advanced superstructure technologies that allow constructing various facades of high-rise buildings. The company constructed over one million square metres of the business centres, tourist agencies and shopping complexes. 

Several companies presented their engineering innovations. These included Strabag (Austria), Sahih, Nata, Net Yapi (Turkey), Renaissanсе construction (Russian Federation), KPMK International (Republic of Korea) that presented the scale models of buildings and residential areas with parks, highways, bridges and flyovers. The colourful stands with the luminous windows of skyscrapers, hotels and shopping centres were of particular interest to the visitors.

A wide variety of the measuring, materials handling and satellite equipment was presented at the exhibition. The pavilion of the Ashgabat Khyakimlik presented the GPS satellite navigation system produced by the Megatronics Company (USA) that allows tracking and monitoring traffic from the unified control center.

The companies – Danfoss and PWT Wasser-und abwassertechik GmbH demonstrates their achievements in producing equipment for public utilities including heating, water and power supply systems.

A major part of the exhibition was dedicated to the industrial infrastructure including the plants producing construction materials such as concrete, reinforced concrete structures, asphalt, wall and facade shuttering and special-purpose equipment and lines producing brick, building ceramic and tiles.

The modern equipment and machines – trucks, excavators, asphalt pavers, rollers and graders were repented in the open-air area of the Exhibition Centre.

The foreign companies from Poland, Korea, Russia and Austria participating in the international forum made presentations in the framework of the exhibition.

Thus, Turkmengurlusyk-2009 is a splendid opportunity for the participants to showcase their achievements in various fields of construction as well as specify the trends in mutually advantageous cooperation.
