OREANDA-NEWS. August 24, 2009. Mr. Oleg Budargin, acting Chairman of the Management Board of JSC FGC UES, attended the meetings headed by Mr. Vladimir Putin, Premier-Minister of Russia, which took place in Yakutia, Khakassia and Krasnoyarsk Krai.

The meeting devoted to “Performance of the orders issued by the President and the Government of the Russian Federation on socio-economic development in Yakutia” was convened in Mirny (Yakutia). In addition, the government delegation attended “Mir” open cut where the underground diamond mine was opened. 

JSC FGC UES constructs the second chain of 220 kV Neryungrinskaya SDPP – Nizhni Kuranakh transmission line in Yakutia, which will be placed in operation at the turn of 2010. The line will supply facilities of the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean pipeline system, and it will increase power supply reliability for consumers in the Neryungrinsky and Aldan districts of Yakutia including the large gold-mining enterprises of the region. In June the Company has already completed the first stage of technical connection of the oil pumping station (NPS-17) being a part of the pipeline under construction to 220 kV Neryungrinskaya SDPP – Nizhni Kuranakh transmission line. From here on the oil pumping station will also be connected to the second chain of this line now being under construction.

Power supply for facilities of the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean pipeline is the priority of JSC FGC UES investment policy. Throughout 2008-2012 the Company will construct, renovate and reconstruct the four backbone grid facilities in Yakutia, Jewish Autonomous region, Amur region, Khabarovsk Krai and Primorski Krai. Volume of investments will comprise 8bn roubles.

Mr. Oleg Budargin also attended the meeting devoted to “Accident management at Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP and provision of the stable power supply for consumers of the unified energy system of Siberia” convened in Cheremushki village (Khakassia). On August 17th, immediately after the accident, the Critical Incident Response Group under the supervision of Mr. Oleg Budargin was formed in JSC FGC UES. The Group objective involves assurance of reliable performance of the Unified National Electric Grid in Siberia under energy and capacity balance which has changed due to the accident at HPP.

More recently, Mr. Oleg Budargin attended the meeting devoted to “The overall development of oil-and-gas province of Krasnoyarsk Krai and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug” convened in Igarka (Krasnoyarsk Krai). In the short run JSC FGC UES major task is to prepare the optimal power supply diagram for the Vancor group of oil fields which are being developed by Rosneft oil company.
