OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2009. Belarusian agricultural companies have harvested 7.865,000 tonnes of grain including 128,500 tonnes of grain gathered on 23 August.

The Minsk oblast leads the harvesting campaign in the country with 2.020,000 tonnes of grain. It is followed by the Grodno oblast (1.492, 000 tonnes), the Brest oblast (1.225, 000 tonnes), the Mogilev oblast (1.135, 000 tonnes), the Gomel oblast (1.055, 000 tonnes) and the Vitebsk oblast (938,000 tonnes).

As of today, around 2.085, 000 hectares under grain and leguminous crops apart for maize (or 90.6% of the total area) have been already cropped. Companies of the Brest oblast have already harvested 96.2% of the areas under crops. The Grodno oblast has harvested 94.9%, the Gomel oblast – 93.2%, The Minsk oblast – 90.3%, the Mogilev oblast – 88.6%, the Vitebsk oblast – 80.6%.
