OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 August 2009 was announced, that at MAKS-2009 air show, Aleksander Donchenko, Direstor General of Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee, handed over Supplement to the Type Certificate for AN-148-100 in view of main alternation - "providing possibility to fly on precision navigation procedures (RNP-1)" and Supplement to the Type Certificate for AN-148-100 in view of main alternation - "installation of new equipment: ALT-4000, RDR-4B, CAS-100 and EGPWS MARK V" to Dmytro Kiva, General Designer of ANTONOV ASTC.

The first of these documents confirm compliance of AN-148-100 with precision navigation requirements (RNP-1). It allows the aircraft operation in the airports with intensive traffic, in particular, in the European countries.

The second Supplement confirms possibility to operate the aircraft with four new systems installed on request of Russian customer. The tests of the aircraft with these systems were performed on the first serial AN-148-100 produced at Voronezh Aircraft Building JSC.

These two documents allow passing the aircraft to the Russian operator.
