OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2009. The Latvian restaurant chain Lido is about to open a 300-seat restaurant in the Solaris Center in the Estonian capital Tallinn in October.

Lido will occupy 1,290 square meters of floor area in the huge entertainment and commercial property that is soon about to open in the city center.

Its investment in the new outlet that will employ more than 100 people totals over 30 million kroons (EUR 1.92 mln).

There will be more than 180 different dishes and foods on offer in the buffet-style restaurant following the Lido concept first launched in Latvia.

Ieva Veinberga, marketing chief for Lido, said the company had been planning on importing its restaurant to Estonia already for some time.

In addition to its nine restaurants in Riga Lido has opened restaurants based on the same concept in Lithuania, Belarus and Russia.
