OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2009. By 2030 the share of non-fuel sources (wind, water, sun and nuclear energies) in the total electricity production in Russia will grow from 32% to 38%, says the press release on the Thursday meeting of the Government concerning Russia’s energy strategy till 2030.

“The annual electricity production by new renewable sources will grow to 80bln-100bln KWh,” says the press release.

The specific fuel rate of thermal power plants will be reduced to 18%-20%, the network losses – from 13% to 8%. The ratio of the domestic prices of gas and coal will make up 2.5–2.8. Per capita energy consumption will grow by 40% as compared with 2005, electricity consumption – by 85%, motor fuel consumption – by no less than 70%.

In 2030 the share of energy expenses (gas, electricity, heat) in household incomes should not exceed 8%-10%.
