Vimpelcom: profitability over 50%. Sales of Vimpelcom, JSC for 2Q 2009 by US GAAP formed 69 bn RUR versus 62 bn RUR for the similar period a year before. The net profit grew from 11.1 bn RUR to 22.6 bn RUR.

Comstar once again showed an inspiring report. Sales of Comstar for 2Q 2009 by US GAAP reduced by 13% versus the similar period of the previous year and totaled 364 mn USD. The net profit almost did not change and formed 30 mn USD. Within a half year the given estimates totaled 698 mn USD and 43 mn USD.

LUKOIL is placing a required offer for the shares of RITEK. LUKOIL-West Siberia, JSC – a 100% subsidiary of LUKOIL – placed a required offer of the shares of RITEK via the price of 211 RUR per common and preferred share, imparts the message of RITEK, announced Interfax.

Financial results of Akron and Dorogobuzh by IAS for 1H 2009. Thursday, August 27 Akron and Dorogobuzh reported for 1H 2009 by IAS. The companies’ report indicates that within the reported period the head company (Akron) gained profit in the amount of 43 mn USD, Dorogobuzh closed the half year with profit of 28 mn USD, which correlates with drop of the given estimate versus the similar period of the previous year by 84.5% and 67.5% respectively.

In July Aeroflot lowered passenger traffic by 3%. In July 2009 Aeroflot – Russian Airlines, JSC reduced the passenger traffic by 3% versus July 2008 to 891 thousand people.
