Dixy Group – one of the leading food retailers in the Russian Federation - has announced revenue growth of 16% in Russian ruble (-16% in US dollar terms) for the first seven months of 2009 ended 31 of July, 2009 over the same period in 2008, reported the press-centre of Dixy Group.    

Dixy Group’s total revenue for the first seven months of 2009 was RUR 31 172 million, a 16% increase compared to RUR 26 982 million for the first seven months of 2008. In USD terms revenue totaled 949.1 million, a 16% decrease compared to USD 1 131.0 million for the same period in 2008.

Retail revenue from Dixy for the first seven months of 2009 was RUR 26 029 million (USD 792.6 million), which represents a 13.1% increase in RUR (17.9% decline in USD) over the same period last year.

Retail revenue from Megamart for the first seven months of 2009 was RUR 3 511 million (USD 106.9 million), which represents a 33.8% increase in RUR (2.8% decline in USD) over the same period last year.

Retail revenue from Minimart for the first seven months of 2009 was RUR 1 163 million (USD 35.4 million), which represents an 18.3 % increase in RUR (14.0% decline in USD) over the same period last year.

Retail revenue from VMart for the first seven months of 2009 was RUR 68 million (USD 2.1 million). Revenue from other activities, such as marketing revenue, sublease income and wholesale revenue amounted to RUR 400 million (USD 12.2 million).
