OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2009. The new types of the services within electronic banking development startegy were proposed by the International Bank. Head of the IBA press-service Rauf Agayev has informed this.

First of all, we shall note that IBA has started to provide the remote air ticket purchasing services using all means of communications- computer, ATM, booth, mobile telephone. Thus, IBA and SilkWay Travel company customers may call the travel company and then using the IBA networks perform the e-ticket purchasing without leaving home or office.

In addition, Mr. Agayev has also noted that IBA has expanded the range of services within MobilBank service. If before the users could pay only for the services of the Azercell Mobile Operator and Baku Electric Networks power supply company, now this list includes the Elcel and Azeronline internet providers, Aztelecom company and SilkWay Travel agency. In addition, the IBA customers may perform the CardTranfer- from card to card transfer using mobilbanking.

In accordance with information provided by press-service, within 2-3 years the postitive growth trend is observed in electronic payments and transfers. During 2007 the total number of operations performed was 243.8 thousand for the sum of 4.88 mln. manats, in 2008 the number of operations increase to 366.3 thousand (33.4% growth), and its total amount increased to 7.97 mln. manats (38.8%). The positive dynamics have been maintained within 2009 as well. Only within initial 6 month the total amount of transactions has been at 6.4 mln. manats, and number of operations increased to 244 thousand. Compared to the same period of last year the number of transactions and amount have increase by 1.4 and 2 times.
