OREANDA-NEWS. On 8 September 2009 was announced, that a draft presidential ordinance is being developed in Belarus to amend presidential ordinance #119 dated March 9, 2007 on simplified taxation scheme, the head of the industry, transport and telecommunications department with the Economy Ministry, Vladimir Dernovoi, told reporters.

“It is planned to double the benchmark of gross revenues used as a criterion for the application of the simplified taxation scheme and halve the simplified tax rate.”

It is also planned to develop regulatory acts to introduce a unified sales tax for the individual entrepreneurs that export Belarusian products with simultaneous exemptions from all other taxes and dues.

Furthermore, it is planned to simplify the procedure of payments by entrepreneurs for Belarusian products. The government plans to consider allowing entrepreneurs to pay in cash.

Also, entrepreneurs may be exempted from mandatory currency surrender.
