OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2009. The Gazprom Headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Alexander Kozlov, Governor of the Orel Oblast.

The meeting addressed the progress with the Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Orel Oblast Administration. In particular, the parties discussed the issues of the regional gasification for 2010.
Background

The Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Orel Oblast Administration was signed on May 21, 2001. Supplies for this year are slated roughly at the same level.

The average gasification level in the Orel Oblast accounts for 78.6 per cent, including 99.8 per cent in cities and towns and 49 per cent in the rural area. The identical figures throughout Russia average 62, 67 and 44 per cent respectively.

Between 2001 and 2008 Gazprom allocated over RUB 588 million to gasify the Orel Oblast.

In 2009 Gazprom invested RUB 10 million to complete the construction of 4.4-kilometer-long inter-settlement gas pipeline.
