OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 September 2009 was announced, that on 18-23 August, 2009, MAKS 2009, the 9–th International Aerospace Show, was held in Zhukovsky city, Moscow region. Ivchenko Scientific and Manufacturing Association displayed D-436-148, AI-450-MS, MS-14, TV3-117VMA-SBM1V, and AI-136T engines, as well as new designs such as upgraded D-36MB engine provided with a new high-performance fan wheel, as well as MS-500 and AI-450M turboshaft engines. Additionally, consumer goods, models of technological processes and electrical power plants for ground operation, and VES-5 wind power plant generator were displayed at Motor Sich exposition.

The press conference dedicated to the particularities of the current period of aeronautical propulsion engineering development was held at the Aerospace Show wherein Sergey Shankin, Motor Sich Chief Engineer, delivered a report dedicated to the experience of Russian and Ukrainian co-operation in the field of aeronautical propulsion engineering. Talks with LG International company as well talks with S.S. Jamval, India Naval Attache, were held at Ivchenko Scientific and Manufacturing Association booth.

Moreover, contracts on commercial aircraft powered by Motor Sich engines were signed at MAKS-2009: Atlant-Soyus airline owned by Moscow government and Iliushin Finance leasing company signed the contract on finance leasing of 30 An-148 regional jets.

On 18 August, Anatoliy Serdiukov, Russia Minister of Defence, and Valeriy Ivashchenko, Ukraine acting Minister of Defence, signed the protocol to confirm conceptual parties agreement to continue working together within An-70 aircraft programme, including financial support necessary to complete the aircraft state testing and arrange its commercial production. On 19 August, Dmitry Kiva, Designer General of Antonov ANTK, and Alexey Isaikin, President of Volga-Dnepr state company, signed the agreement on placing commercial An-70T aircraft version in the market. Supplies of the first commercial An-70T aircraft from the batch of 20 machines are to start in 2013, with Volga-Dnepr company being a launch customer. All in all, the amount of the contracts and agreements signed at the Air Show is USD 10 billion.
