OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2009. Astana-Finance (Astana) informed Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) the company delayed payment of the second coupon interest on bonds KZP08Y10C532 (KASE, first subcategory of Non-rated debt securities, ASFIb22; KZT100, KZT10.0 bn; 29.08.08 - 29.08.18, semiannual coupon 11.00 % APR; 30/360), reported the press-centre of KASE.

According to the issue prospectus Astana-Finance had to pay the interest in the period September 1 through September 14, 2009. The prospectus specifies "in case of default or partial default on interest or principal payment at fault of the Issuer, the Issuer must pay bondholders a principal and a fine for each day of delay, based on the official refinance rate set by the Kazakhstan National Bank as on the day of compliance with obligations".

An additional note will be issued in regard of debt redemption on payment of coupon interest on the bonds after the restructuring plan is approved.
