OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2009. Moscow International Airport Domodedovo conducted a special event, dedicated to the well-known Salzburg festival – one of the most large-scale European musical forums, the program of which includes not only concerts but also opera performances.

Passengers of Austrian Airlines and NIKKI, departing from Domodedovo were met by violin – players performing famous compositions. The travelers were presented compact-discs with classical music (of Russian and Austrian composers), and, ofcourse, “Mozart” chocolates.

The famous Salzburg festival was founded 89 years ago by Gugo von Gofmanstahl, Max Reinhart and Richard Strauss. The repertoire scope of the forum is extraordinarily wide and includes compositions of ingenious classics, contemporary pieces and experimental avant-garde.

Ensuring a maximum comfort of passengers, Domodedovo organizes various celebrations and entertaining events dedicated to airline national holidays and significant historical dates on a regular basis. All the events are conducted in the framework of the “Celebrations calendar” program.
