OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2009. Amrahbank is revising its branch network strategy with an objective to ensure extensive geographical spread, centralisation of back office management, and unification of products.

Khalig Ildirimzadeh, Bank’s business development director, says that these tasks are alligned with the ongoing rebranding and restructuring project of the bank.

“Our Bank is also relocating the existing branches in Baku in order to better diversify geographical spread, and regional branches are being studied for new openings. For instance, one of the branches will open soon in Barda,” he said.

He added that the new branches will be located in regions not covered by the Bank for any reasons.

Founded in 1993 Amrahbank is today one of the leading commercial banks of Azerbaijan. It holds leading positions among the domestic banks on quantity of branches (23 ones).

Strategic partnership established after acquisition of 49% of Amrahbank’s shares by International Investment Bank of Bahrain plays an important role in positive changes in a whole range of areas of activities and life of the Bank, including such fields as corporate governance, international co-operation, a range and quality of bank products and services.
