OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2009. DTEK Pavlogradugol Company (Pavlograd City, Dnepropetrovsk region) completed the implementation of an investment project to replace a coal winding machine at Yubileynaya Mine (Pershotravensk, Dnepropetrovsk region), reports the press-service of DTEK.
 
The operations on replacement of the winding machine started in January and were carried out in three stages.
 
Particularly, a new relay and contactor control circuit was mounted and put into service.
 
Other installed equipment includes an asynchronous thyristor cascade allowing stepless speed regulation of the winding machine and reduction of electricity consumption by 30%.
 
In parallel, signaling equipment was set up and brought on line.
 
At the last stage, the old main part and gear were dismantled. The old foundation was demolished and replaced with a new one. By a specially erected rolling track the newly assembled main part and gear were delivered to the winding shop where they were put in place.
 
According to the press-service, DTEK invested about UAH 26 m into the implementation of this project.
 
As the agency reported earlier, DTEK Pavlogradugol closed the year 2008 with losses of UAH 40.689 m, having increased its net income by 45.82%, or UAH 1115.956 m, to UAH 3551.538 m, compared to 2007.
 
Pavlogradugol Open Joint Stock Company is part of DTEK Management Company operating the energy assets of System Capital Management (Donetsk City).
 
Pavlogradugol includes 10 mines producing coking and thermal coal of gaseous group.
