OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2009. Leading international railway wheel producer Interpipe presented its KLW-branded wheel products with improved operational features at the International Salon of Rolling Stock and Rail Technologies EXPO 1520 in Moscow on 9-12 September.

Oleg Kuzmin, Director for Corporate Affairs at Interpipe said: “We intend to link up the wheel sales of our Company under the KLW brand on all our strategic markets. The KLW brand is well known to our clients in Europe and we are actively promoting it on other markets”.

Visitors to the Interpipe stand at Expo 1520 were able to see examples of the most essential products in the railway industry: rolled wheels of higher hardness with disk shaped form for passenger and freight cars, rolled locomotive wheels and rolled wheel centers for locomotive wheels.

Michael Iskov, Director for Railway Wheel Sales at Interpipe said: “Our Company offers its clients new effective solutions to the main issues affecting the development of railway transport at present such as higher speeds and increasing load to the axle. For example, at Expo 1520 we have presented the S–shaped wheels of higher hardness – the wear-resistance of these wheels is 1.3 – 1.5 times more effective than in a standard wheel”.

The International Salon of Rolling Stock and Rail Technologies EXPO 1520 takes place biannually in Scherbinka (Moscow Region) and is a popular event in the railway industry of Russia and the CIS countries. The General Partner of the exhibition is the state-owned Russian Railways.

More than 120 companies presented its products at EXPO 1520 in 2009.
