OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2009. Prime minister of Ukraine Yulia V.Timoshenko visited ANTONOV ASTC. She visited flight simulators intended for the pilots training. In assembly shop of ANTONOV ASTC Yulia V.Timoshenko surveyed AN-72 multipurpose aircraft and a jig prepared for construction of AN-158 a new 99-seat aircraft. Dmytro S.Kiva, General Designer, presented the newest informational techologies used for development and production of the aircraft to eminent guests.

In her speech to ANTONOV ASTC’s collective Prime minister marked the high level of the enterprise’s work. In particular, she said: “For the last 7 years ANTONOV ASTC has shown the first rate in use the most modern technologies. It would be impossible to design the competitive technique at a level of the world standards without it. Your example demonstrates that it is possible to work reliably and qualitatively even in hard time of crisis”.

Yulia V.Timoshenko noted that unfortunately not all the enterprises of the branch work so effectively. She determined three main directions which government realizes to lead aviation industry out of crisis. First of all, it is necessary to reorganize all enterprises of the branch. Thereto government took effective program of financing and reforming. In 2010 the serious reconstruction, reequipment of the enterprises will start. It is also necessary to provide a market for sale of production, to renew confidence of foreign customers to whom were upset the deliveries. “I see the colossal potential of the aviation branch. The government will render the all-round necessary support for its development”- said Mrs. Timoshenko.

After that Prime minister visited flight test and development base “ANTONOV” in Gostomel. She surveyed AN-74 multipurpose airplane, AN-148 regional jet, AN-70 military transport, AN-225 Mriya, the biggest freighter in the world.

From the “ANTONOV” airport Prime minister, Volodymyr S.Novitskii, Minister of industrial policy of Ukraine and leaders of ANTONOV ASTC flew to Kharkiv to conduct the conference on questions of aviation industry of Ukraine.
