OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2009. Due to the large flow of passengers returning from the International Economic Forum “Sochi -2009”, Aeroflot will perform a regular Moscow – Sochi – Moscow flight on an A330 aircraft, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

A330 aircrafts have a flying range of up to 12,500 km, can accommodate 241 passengers and are operated by the world’s leading carriers in the long haul segment. The airplanes are equipped with the Rolls-Royce Trent 772 engines.

Aeroflot’s new airliners come in a two-class layout: 34 business-class and 207 economy-class seats. The aircrafts have the cutting-edge Panasonic eX 2 IFE system with wide-screen video-monitors sized 9-16’’ inbuilt in each armchair, allowing the use of a multi-channel video-audio program. The business class compartment has comfortable foldable ‘cocoon’ armchairs. The economy-class compartment has increased inter-row space for more comfortable accommodation of passengers.

This type of aircraft will be used for the first time on Moscow – Sochi – Moscow line at the time around the conclusion of the International Forum “Sochi-2009”, which is required by the need to transport a large number of passengers.

Flight SU 869/870 will depart from Moscow at 10:25 and arrive in Sochi at 12:55 Moscow time; it will depart from Sochi at 14:45 and land in Moscow at 16:55 Moscow time.
