OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2009. Depository Clearing Company and ZAO Vash Registrator (Krasnoyarsk) have signed an agreement on the use of EDI based on Formats for Electronic Interaction between Participants of the Collective Investments Market elaborated by PARTAD. Thus ZAO Vash Registrator became the first registrar to have electronic document interchange established with DCC for all areas of cooperation.

Application of the Formats for Electronic Interaction between Participants of the Collective Investments Market approved by PARTAD Board of Directors is aimed to cut operational risks arising from information processing in the interaction between DCC and ZAO Vash Registrator which maintains registers of investment fund owners.

Application of PARTAD standards in DCC's interaction with registrars in collective investment shows efficiency of PARTAD, which ill soon celebrate its 15th anniversary.

DCC President Mikhail Laufer noted that introduction of structured electronic document formats in interaction with registrars with the view to cut operating costs and labour costs of accounting institutions is one of DCC's priority goals. For this reason DCC, among other things, supports all formats elaborated by PARTAD including Formats for Electronic Document Interchange of Registrars and Depositories which are applied in interaction with 25 registrars in respect of 1,190 issuers (41% of the total number of issuers whose securities are accepted to DCC).
