OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2009. A delegation of Energoatom Concern has taken part in the 8th forum of the young activists of Atomprofzoyuz (the Trade Union of Nuclear Workers) of Ukraine, which took place in Chernihiv, Ukraine, Sept 17–20 2009.

Young representatives of the trade unions of Khmelnitsky, Chernobyl, South Ukraine, Zaporizhye and Rivno NPPs (Ukraine) and other Ukrainian manufacturing and medical companies took part in the forum.

The delegation of Energoatom Concern consisted of representatives of Leningrad, Balakovo, Smolensk, Kursk, Volgodonsk, Beloyarsk NPPs and the Central Office.

The head of the Russian delegation, the advisor of the Director for Personnel Management and Social and Administrative Issues of Energoatom Concern Yevgeny Chrukin thanked the hosts for the invitation and said: “The task of this forum is exchange of experience between youth trade unions. To us this forum is also an opportunity to strengthen the international ties between Energoatom Concern and NNEGC Energoatom.”

The program of the forum included a seminar on elections into youth organizations of Atomprofsoyuz. The lecturers pointed out that 95% of Ukrainian students are members of trade unions, which proves that trade union plays a big role in the life of the Ukrainian youth and is an instrument for them to assert their interests.

The trainees were offered the task to organize a youth conference. The Russian delegates took part in the discussion as part of the team of Khmelnitsky NPP and showed excellent knowledge and skills and answered all questions.

The program of the forum also included sports and art events: AtomStrongMan competition and a show with contests, draws and dances organized by the teams of Khmelnitsky, Rivno, South Ukraine and Zaporihya NPPs.

The participants were unanimous that the forum was a good opportunity for them to exchange experience but the main thing is that it helped them to attain mutual understanding and mutual respect.
