OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2009. The Turkmen-Belarusian commission for economic commission will meet for the second time in Ashgabat.

A Belarusian delegation led by Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus V. P. Burya arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the forum.

As is known, the first meeting of the intergovernmental commission – the structure established on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as an effective mechanism for intensifying the fruitful dialogue established between Turkmenistan and Belarus and enhancing the ties of friendship, mutual confidence and understanding between the fraternal peoples took place in the Belarusian capital – Minsk last January.

The agenda of the regular meeting of the Turkmen-Belarusian intergovernmental commission covers a wide range of the issues related to the current state and prospects for development of the bilateral relations in the priority fields such as the fuel and energy sector, construction, tourism and other fields where concerting efforts was deemed quite promising. The aspects of Turkmen-Belarusian cooperation built on a long-term mutually advantageous basis will be the focus of the talks at the Government of Turkmenistan.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is expected to receive Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus V. P. Burya.
