OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2009. Ural Steel (a subsidiary of Metalloinvest holding) created over 400 working places within a joint program with employment center of Novotroitsk.

The program is aimed at two categories of population: graduates of vocational schools and unemployed.

Ural Steel arranges quite a number of working places for young specialists and has already engaged for training 23 graduates from the subsidiary of the State Technological University “Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys”, 84 graduates from Novotroitsk polytechnic college and vocational school #5, many of them have passed approbation period. The plant provides over 400 working places totally, 160 of them are already occupied.

Ural Steel implements a program of creating temporary jobs for unemployed. In July 65 jobless citizens of Novotroitsk assisted with maintenance works at the plant. Currently Ural Steel intends to hire 35 people unemployed.

Metalloinvest supports disadvantaged groups and helps to solve social problems of the regions within a social strategy of the company. The analogical joint programs with the administration are fulfilled at the other regions where Metalloinvest enterprises operate. As an example since May, 2009 Mikhailovsky GOK has created over 200 working places for students and unemployed of Kursk region.
