OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2009. CROC has completed the deployment of IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence for Ingosstrakh Insurance Company. The main objective of the project was to reduce the time spent on the preparation of management reports and to increase operational efficiency.

"Simultaneous access to all data warehouse information allows for efficient and comprehensive analysis of our business units and the comparison of current performance with that of previous years," said Maxim Serpukhov, Head of Corporate Reporting Department, Ingosstrakh.

The deployment of the new platform was transparent and did not interrupt business processes. Users now have access to a scalable BI solution which has a centralized security system and is capable of presenting an up-to-date picture of the company's operations.

"I believe that Ingosstrakh analysts now have a state-of-the-art and easy-to-use solution that helps increase productivity," said Maxim Andreev, Head of Business Applications Division, CROC.

Ingosstrakh required a system capable of processing large volumes of insurance-related information. CROC successfully set up a multi-dimensional IBM Cognos PowerPlay OLAP server database in order to optimize OLAP cube reconstruction and minimize system response time to less than 10 seconds.
