OREANDA-NEWS. October 02, 2009. The Russian Bank for Development in cooperation with the Association of Russian Banks and Administration of the Pskov Oblast has held a workshop on the state-sponsored SME lending support program in Pskov, reported the press-centre of RBD. 
 
Nadezhda Martynova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of RBD stated in her presentation that as of today the Bank had selected 38 counter-party banks in the regions with lower demand from the banks. “RBD is continuing to accept applications from banks including the banks of the Pskov Oblast with the view to fill the clear balance of limit designated for the region” – she said. Moreover N.Martynova detailed on other areas of the Program’s implementation, inter alia, on the beginning of the acceptance of applications from leasing companies to be involved in the state-sponsored SME lending support program.

“The Program implemented by RBD is designed not only to support small and mid-sized business through a network of the regional counter-party banks but it envisages SME lending support via infrastructure organizations: leasing, factoring and micro-finance organizations” – she said. N.Martynova accentuated on the criteria of selecting organizations to be involved in the Program. In addition she told the audience about information support rendered by RBD to SMEs through its web-site www.rosbr.ru, she emphasized that on this site one can always find maximum complete and topical information on the Program.

After the seminar N.Martynova hold special consultations with representatives of the credit institutions of the Pskov Oblast on the questions of participation in the state SME lending support program.

Moreover during the visit Nadezhda Martynova met with the Pskov Oblast’s administrative authorities. At the meeting she spoke about key directions of the Program. The parties also discussed the possibilities of cooperation between RBD and Administration of the Pskov Oblast in the area of lending support to small and mid-sized enterprises of the region.
