OREANDA-NEWS. October 02, 2009. Moody’s Investors Service Rating Agency upgraded Sviaz-Bank’s financial stability rating to E+, and its long-term rating of deposits in national and foreign currencies to B2, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

At the same time, Moody’s Interfax Rating Agency raised the Bank’s deposit rating on the national scale to Baa1.ru. The Agency gives a “stable” forecast for the ratings.

Judging by the Agency’s decision, Sviaz-Bank’s rating were upgraded in response to the recent financial support it received from its new shareholder, Vnesheconombank, now holding 99.3% of the Bank’s shares that improved significantly the Bank’s liquidity, and also following Vnesheconombank’s statement of its intention to keep Sviaz-Bank’s shares on its balance sheet for at least a medium term. Moody’s assesses Sviaz-Bank’s current financial condition as stable.
