OREANDA-NEWS On 05 October RTS Published RTS Stock Market Trading Results for September 2009.
In September 2009 the RTS Index went up by 17.63% to 1,254.52 points as of September 30, 2009 against 1,066.53 points as of August 31, 2009. Most of the positive impact on the RTS Index dynamics was coming from the growing prices for Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) (plus 50.55 points), followed by ordinary shares of OJSC "OC "Rosneft" (ROSN) (plus 25.09 points) and Gazprom ordinary shares (LKOH) (plus 21.97 points).
The "second-tier" stock index – RTS-2 climbed 25.82% to reach 1,221.53 points (970.88 points as of August 31, 2009). All the key economy sectors represented on the Russian stock market closed in the green territory.
The largest growth was demonstrated by the industrial sector, with the RTS Index - Industrial going up by 47.58%. A significant rise was shown by the financials sector. The RTS Index – Financials gained 32.56%. The slightest increase was reported by the oil & gas sector: the RTS Index – Oil & Gas sector grew by 12.73%.

Over September the US dollar lost 4.68% against the Russian rouble to reach 30.09 RUR per US dollar (31.57 as of August 31, 2009).
In September 2009 the securities trading volume on RTS equaled USD44.4 bln (1,368.2 bln roubles*), including all types of trades. The trading volume on RTS Standard totaled USD5,487.38 mln.
The top sellers of the month on the RTS Stock Market were Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) with a turnover of USD3,085.3 mln followed by Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) with a turnover of USD1,552.7 mln and "LUKOIL" ordinary shares (LKOH) with a turnover of USD443.6 mln. The share of the above securities in the turnover made up 53.40%, 26.87% and 7.68% respectively.
The top gainers of the month were ordinary shares of JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" (UFMO) that experienced a 195.7% growth to reach USD0.55, ordinary shares of JSC SITRONICS (SITR) that went up by 113.64% to reach USD0.0235 and ordinary shares of PIK Group (PIKK) that gained 112.24% to end up at USD3.85 per share.
The top losers of the month were ordinary shares of AKB Metallinvestbank (MEIN) that lost 21.23% to reach USD98.018, ordinary shares of NEFAZ (NFAZ) that went down by 9.38% to reach USD7.25 and GAZ (GAZA) that decreased by 5.26% to USD18.0.
