OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2009. Freight One has begun to use 95 15—1210RS tank cars made by JSC Roslavlsky Railway Car Repair Plant (RVRZ) on the Moscow and Kuybyshev railways.

The 15—1210RS tank car with universal draining device, steam-heating jacket and safety inlet valve is designed for hauling viscous petroleum products. Freight One chose these tank cars because of their popularity on the transport market. Under an agreement with RVRZ, Freight One will receive a total of 300 units of this type of rolling stock by the end of the year.

Roslavl Car Repair Plant is one of the few manufacturers of tank cars with steam jackets in Russia today. RVRZ received a certificate of compliance for their manufacture in July, and Freight One was the first company to buy some of the new tank cars. The company used to buy rolling stock of similar design manufactured by JSC Azovmash. “We welcome the emergence of a domestic manufacturer in this segment and look forward to effective and mutually-beneficial cooperation,” said Freight One’s General Director Salman Babayev.
