OREANDA-NEWS On 07 October was announced, that the Belarusian government plans to launch a mechanism to promote international lease operations by October 20, 2009. This information said First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko during a meeting of the Council for labor and social issues. 

“It will help Belarusian companies a lot,” he said.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko last week signed ordinance #465 to exempt from the value-added tax proceeds of Belarusian makers that sell their products to lease companies for further lease under hire-purchase contracts. 

Furthermore, the document limits the customs regime of temporary importation for imports of commodities under international lease agreements to 34 months.
