OREANDA-NEWS. October 09, 2009. Kommersant published its tenth annual rating list of Russia’s top-performing senior staffers. Pavel Neumyvakin, Chairman of Uniastrum Bank’s Management Board, was ranked among the nation’sTop-30 commercial bank executives, reported the press-centre of Uniastrum Bank.

The list, which is compiled jointly by Kommersant newspaper and the Russian Managers Association, rates the best-performing executives in their respective fields over the past year. For the record, 2009 has seen Uniastrum Bank clinch leadership positions in a number of bank ratings.

RosBusinessConsulting named Uniastrum one of the nation’s best “personal creditors”. Between year-start 2009 and September 1, the Bank’s personal loan portfolio grew 58% to top Rb 1.3 bn.
Meantime, Uniastrum remains committed to supporting small and midsized businesses through its specifically designed easy-term loan initiatives. In H109 Uniastrum issued Rb 10.2 bn in credits to small and midsized clients. As of June 1, 2009 its SME loan portfolio totaled Rb 24.8 bn, inclusive of repaid earlier loans. Over H208 and H109, Uniastrum Bank’s small business lending portfolio doubled in size, weighing in at Rb 2.1 bn as of June 1, 2009. All in all, the sustained uptrend in Uniastrum’s small business lending segment is conspicuous: in the three summer months of 2009 alone, the Bank extended more than Rb 1 bn to small enterprises, taking its SME portfolio to Rb 2.8 bn as of September 1, 2009.

The results of a ratings survey conducted this year by banking web portal CREDCARD.RU showed Uniastrum to be the nation’s 5th most trusted plastic card provider. As of September 1, 2009, the lender gave out more than 665,000 cards, with respective account balances topping Rb 1.8 bn. Uniastrum Bank’s credit card portfolio grew 60% since year-start 2009, weighing in at over Rb 1.2 bn as of September 1, inclusive of repaid earlier loans. Over 8M09 Uniastrum issued over Rb 1.1 bn in card credits, while plastic-card personal loans totaled around Rb 900 mn, or 54% more than in FY08.

Another of Uniastrum’s notable successes to date has been the sizeable upturn in the amount of auto credit issues. Based on H109 data released by RosBusinessConsulting, the Bank is one of Russia’s Top-10 auto finance lenders, jumping from 17th to 7th position. In 2008 Uniastrum Bank issued over Rb 3.8 bn in auto loans. As of year-start 2009, its auto finance portfolio topped Rb 5.8 bn, with the lender going on to chalk up more than Rb 760 mn in this segment during Q109, giving out another 1, 500 loans. In H109 Uniastrum issued some 3,000 auto credits totaling over Rb 1.58 bn. As of June 1, 2009, Uniastrum’s auto portfolio tipped the scales at over Rb 6.2 bn.

Last but not least, Uniastrum was voted Russia’s best bank for recession-fighting tools at the annual Montenegro National Bank Festival competition to find the bank with the most successful crisis-busting strategies.
