OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2009. Yuri V. Trushin, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Russian Agricultural Bank took part in the meeting of the Agribusiness Commission of the Government of the Russian Federation to discuss results of the Federal Program on Agribusiness Development 2008-2012, reported the press-centre of RusAg.

Since January 2009 RusAg’s contribution to agribusiness has grown to RUR 475 billion from RUR 373 billion. In 2009, the Bank extended 96 thousand loans totaling RUR 291 billion, which translates to a 26% growth, as compared to the relevant period of 2008. During 9 months of 2009, RusAg’s loan portfolio has grown by 28% to reach RUR 594 billion. Average monthly growth rate amounted to some 3%.

In 2006-2007, the Bank extended 318 thousand loans to the total amount of RUR 153 billion in the framework of the National Priority Project on Agribusiness Development. Since 2008, RusAg has extended 250 thousand loans exceeding RUR 480 billion in the framework of the Federal Program on Agribusiness Development implementation.
