OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2009. Moldova's economic agents will be able to export Moldovan grapes and wines to the market of Belarus. Acting President and Parliament Speaker Mihai Ghimpu told news conference that he agreed on this decision at a bilateral meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko.

Ghimpu stressed that the enforcement of this decision depends on the Moldovan government. In the context of the opening of the sales markets, the acting president said that Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, as well as President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiev also stressed the openness of their countries' markets for the Moldovan goods at the bilateral meetings.

Mihai Ghimpu said that both Yushchenko and Lukashenko said that they support the new Moldovan government, the Alliance for European Integration. At a meeting with Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev, the latter also said that Russia will have favourable cooperation relations with Moldova's new government, Ghimpu emphasized.

Asked about the Russian credit worth 150 million dollars which Moldova is to get till late 2009, Ghimpu said that this loan is necessary to Moldova, given that the budget deficit is of eight billion lei (482 million euros).

Mihai Ghimpu also said that he discussed with Dmitriy Medvedev the Transnistrian issue too. He stressed that the Russian side's position is that the withdrawal of the troops from Transnistria depends on Moldova's guarantee as neutral state and the non-accession to NATO.
