OREANDA-NEWS. October 15, 2009. Today Aeroflot-Nord has officially received IOSA certificate (IATA Operational Safety Audit).

As has already been reported on October 2nd, 2009, Aeroflot-Nord has been officially included into IATA’s IOSA Register (IATA Operational Safety Audit) after the airline had successfully passed the audit on compliance with international operational safety standards.

The IOSA certificate was handed in to Aeroflot-Nord’s Director General Mr. Oleg Usmanov by IATA’s Vice-President, Mr. Gunter Matschnigg. IATA’s representative in Russia and CIS countries Dmitry Shamrayev noted that receiving IOSA certificate is not only the proof of Aeroflot-Nord’s high operational safety standards, but also a certain mark of quality. According to Aeroflot-Nord’s Director General Oleg Usmanov, the parent company Aeroflot-Russian Airlines has granted its competent aid which facilitated successful completion of IATA’s operational safety audit. Mr. Usmanov also noted that it was somehow symbolic that Aeroflot-Nord received IOSA certificate at the same time when Aeroflot-Russian Airlines received IATA’s ISAGO certificate (IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations).
