OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2009. Belarus’ privately-owned OOO Tabak-Invest, based in Minsk, produced 4.938 billion cigarettes in January-September 2009, down 9.5% on the year, an official with Belgospischeprom concern told.

Tabak-Invest makes Magna, Monte Carlo, More, Winston and Camel brands under contracts with JT International (JTI) and West and Golden Gate brands under a license agreement with Reemtsma. Winston output amounted to 2.7 billion cigarettes in January-September, including 2.096 billion units of Winston Light. Winston production makes up 55% of the total output. Monte Carlo output reached 1.312 billion units, Camel output amounted to 390 million units, Magna production to 90 million units and More production to 91 million units. Production under contracts with JTI accounted for 92.5% of Tabak-Invest’s output, with 4.569 billion units. Imperial Tobacco Group (Reemtsma) brands accounts for the remaining 7.5%. Tabak-Invest has an output quota of 6.5 billion cigarettes in 2009, down 3.7% year-on-year.
