OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2009. Following the completion of the recent sale of Oleg Zherebtsov's stake in Lenta to VTB Capital and TPG Capital, the company’s shareholders held a special meeting.

The Board of Directors of Lenta was reconstituted with representatives from various shareholders and a new Chairman was elected. Former Lenta Board Chairman Oleg Zherebtsov sold a 35.4% stake in the company to VTB Capital and TGP Capital last week.

Lenta is one of the leading hypermarket chains in Russia operating 36 trade stores throughout the country – fourteen in St. Petersburg, four in Novosibirsk, two in Nizhny Novgorod, two in Krasnodar and Omsk, one each in Barnaul, Novgorod, Petrozavodsk, Togliatti, Tyumen, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Ryazan, Naberezhnie Chelny, Saratov, Penza and Novorossiysk.
