OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (the FAS Russia) and the Finnish Competition Authority have signed the Programme on Cooperation for 2010-2011, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Competition authorities of both countries agreed upon expansion of information exchange between the countries, implementation of collateral study visits and conferences on the antimonopoly policy issues.

The Heads of the Competition Authorities of Russia and Finland Mr. Igor Artemyev and Mr. Johani Johannen suppose that their authorities will inform each other about holding investigations of the anticompetitive actions of companies, in case if such investigations are held against the companies registered in the territory of the other Party' country, as well as in cases when anticompetitive actions of companies may affect interests of the other country.

Igor Artemyev suggested holding a "round table" for representatives of the Finnish companies which operate in the Russian market, where a discussion on the development of the antimonopoly legislation and enforcement will be held as well as the issues of the control over foreign investments in strategy sector of the Russian economy will be covered.
