OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2009. Ukio bankas sets new interest rates on time deposits for both private and corporate clients. Interest on savings and universal deposits are also changed respectively. Higher interest on time and savings deposits will be paid to the clients having placed deposits using Ukio bankas internet banking system Eta bankas as well as seniors – participants of the Advantages of the Age programme, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

Ukio bankas accepts deposits in litas, euro, US dollars and pounds sterling. Interest rate on deposits in litas is reduced from 0.1 to 1.4 percent. Meanwhile interest rate on deposits placed in euro, pounds sterling or US dollars will fall from 0.1 to 1.1 percent.

Ukio bankas clients placing deposits in litas for a 12-month term will receive 9.4 percent in interest, for 6-month deposits – 8.7 percent and for 3-month deposits – 7.45 percent.

Ukio bankas offers an interest of 4.2 percent on 12-month maturity deposits in euro and pounds sterling, 3.7 percent – 6-month deposits, and 3.45 percent – 3-month deposits. In the meantime the Bank pays 2.2 percent in annual interest on 12-month maturity deposits in US dollars, 1.7 percent – 6-month deposits, 1.45 percent – 3-month deposits.

Time deposits placed via the internet banking system Eta bankas will yield from 0.1 to 0.2 percent higher interest: interest on 1 to 12 month time deposits is increased 0.1 percent, and that on 12-month and longer term deposits – 0.2 higher annual interest.

Ukio bankas pays 0.1 percent higher interest to seniors – participants of the Advantages of the Age programme. 0.1 percent higher interest is paid on automatically renewable deposits placed for a 12-month or longer term.

Ukio bankas pays 0.1 percent lower interest on savings deposits and 0.2 percent lower interest on universal deposits, respectively.
