OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2009. BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT arranged an Interregional Research-to-Practice Conference in Saint-Petersburg ‘Modernization of the educational system: the experience of Saint-Petersburg & the other constituent entities of the North-West Federal District’. This conference was a final stage of the project ‘The Saint-Petersburg experience in modernization of education: expansion to Russian regions’ hosted by BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT against the Federal Education Agency Order, reported the press-centre of BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT.

The Conference was aimed at the following issues:

To discuss horizons of modernization of the Russian educational system;

To promote the St. Petersburg experience to Russian regions.

The conference brought together top-managers and leading experts in education development from the Saint-Petersburg Education Committee, the Leningrad, Murmansk and Pskov regions, the Komi Republic and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District, as well as staff of regional and municipal education agencies, scientific and higher education establishments, teaching and expert communities – over 120 persons in total.

Within the framework of the conference the leading mass media of St. Petersburg participated in a press briefing related to the project outcomes.
