In 2009 Kazakhtelecom continued to retain its positions as telecommunications service provider and develop cooperation with Kazakhstan operators. From the beginning of the year aggregate Internet channel throughput capacity provided for Kazakh ISP-providers increased 1.3. Monthly Internet traffic generated by ISP-providers increased 74 %. Nineteen more IP-telephony operators connected to Kazakhtelecom networks.

Currently over 130 telecommunications operators connected to the Kazakhtelecom telecommunications network. In the reporting period 68 technical specifications were issued for connection and 121 changes to technical specifications, 160 orders for connection of networks and allocation of additional networks resources were prepared and issued to telecommunications
operators. Fourteen communications operators were connected to the network. Much activity was observed in Karaganda oblast (12 connections) and Atyrau oblast (9).

In the period the company entered into 4 new Standard agreements on connection with IP-telephony operators. (Totally 20 agreements were concluded with IP-telephony operators). As on October 1, 2009 nineteen IP-telephony operators were connected to the Kazakhtelecom networks in 72 connections.

Seven new agreements were concluded with ISP-providers for rendering data communications services and access to the Internet. Aggregate throughput capacity of Internet-channels, provided to Kazakh ISP-providers increased 1.3 times.
