OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2009. Acron Group has appointed JSC Acron vice president for mining and chemical production development Sergey Fedorov as president of North-Western Phosphorous Company and Verkhnekamsk Potash Company. Andrey Rovensky, formerly vice chief executive officer and chief commercial officer of the companies, will be NWPC’s CEO. Vladimir Zakharov continues to serve as VPC CEO.

The leadership changes were introduced to improve corporate governance. Fedorov’s appointment as president of Acron’s mining companies will help him focus on strategic development of the Group’s raw material base, including development of phosphate deposits in Russia and potash deposits in Russia and Canada. Rovensky will concentrate on mine construction at Oleniy Ruchey in his new capacity.

Sergey Fedorov (born 1953), PhD in Economics.

In 1976 he graduated from the Novosibirsk Institute of Railway Engineers with a degree in railway engineering and design engineering, specialisation in tunnelling and constructing underground rail lines.
