OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2009. Belarus’ imports of soft drinks and mineral water decreased year-on-year in January-Septemner 2009, according to the State Customs Committee.

Imports of soft drinks, including mineral water, still or aerated, with sugar or sweeteners were at 4.728 million decaliters in the period, down 44.8% on the year, worth USD 32.74 million, down 34.8%.

Belarus imported 3.637 million decaliters of drinks of this type from Russia, down 31.8%, worth USD 25.285 million, a decrease of 18.5%.

Imports from Ukraine were at 1.033 million decaliters, down 66.7%, worth USD 6.313 million, down 63%.

Imports of water, including natural or artificial mineral water, still or aerated, without sugar or sweeteners were at 540,148 decaliters, down 14.4% on the year in January-September 2009, worth USD 2.393 million, down 4.5% year-on-year.
