OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2009. In 2010 the fund of subsidizing agricultural producers will make 313,5 million leis. As it was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, this was announced by the head of department Valeriu Cosarciuc noting that the same amount of subsidies are provided for the current year.

He identified three priorities to subsidize industry - increasing share of the value added products in the vegetable sector through the creation of the new orchards and vineyards, improve irrigation systems and promote vegetable production of the protected lands.

According to the minister, at first the financial support will be granted to projects aimed at improving efficiency of irrigation systems. The main attention in the field of zoo-technical sector will be paid to creation of the small farms of livestock, milk, pork and beef. At the same time, the informational and financial support will be provided for modernization of the existing farms in the countryside.

Another priority of the Ministry of Agriculture will be creation of infrastructure of the processing harvest in the countryside - establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises for processing milk, meat, vegetables and fruits, as well as packaging firms.

It is planned to allocate US 12 million within the project "Economic incentives in the rural areas" (the Millennium Challenges - Compact "), which will be implemented in 2010. The Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry also noted that another 45 million euros will be provided by the European Commission on implementation of the projects aims at creating relevant conditions for economic development in the rural areas.

15 million euros will be allocated for the establishment of regional heating plants to produce energy for schools, gardens and the city halls. Valeriu Cosarciuc also noted that the discussion on allocation loans to small and medium-sized enterprises are being held at the moment.
