OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2009. In October 2009 OJSC PAVA concluded its first contract for production of private-label flour. The Altay grain processor started co-operation with a large retail network that consists of about 180 shops operating in the Siberian federal region. High quality flour, manufactured by PAVA, will be distributed as a store-brand product within the category of economically priced items.

The project is led by PAVA Achinsk mill (the Krasnoyarsk Territory), that supplies consumer-size flour to shops of the network on a regular weekly basis. To reinforce the product image, the company has developed colourful packaging decisions for the 2-kg size.

“Working with private labels is a great tool in that it allows to increase sales, cut marketing costs and guarantee steady inflow of orders. We also think this will contribute to successful promotion of PAVA’s own brands”, says Andrey Ananin, PAVA Managing Director. “Meanwhile, this is quite a serious task, requiring high level of production lines upgrade and efficient quality control system”.
