OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2009. An increase in its production capacity utilization permitted Kryukovsky Railcar Plant < KVBZ UK U/R > to switch from three-day back to five-day operations week since the beginning of November. According to the management of the Company, KVBZ is to produce at least 400 cars per month starting in November, which is at least twice more than it did in the previous three quarters of 2009 in terms of its monthly output. However, it is premature to describe the current increase in demand as a definite trend, the Company spokesman went on to say.

Millennium Capital: the latest news released by the Ukrainian railcar manufacturers is an indicator of some revival of the demand for railcars. The demand was almost dead during 9M09, and its current reemergence is another signal of a certain back-to-normal-business change in the economic situation. The railcar transportation is the main means of goods delivery in all the CIS countries, so Millennium Capital sees the railcar demand increase as an indicator of an increase in business activities.
